Intelligent Networks

An intelligent network (IN) is an architectural concept for a communications network that separates the switching and services functionalities by providing service-neutral switching nodes (Service Switching Points, SSPs) and a central service control node (Service Control Point, SCP). This allows for the flexible creation and provisioning of services such as virtual private networks.PSE has been involved in product development for Intelligent Networks right from the start.

We helped shape IN Classic – and today we are in charge of maintenance and 3rd level support for this product.

Currently we are working on the further development and system testing of @vantage, the product generation that offers mobile network operators a uniform charging system – so-called convergent charging – for both prepaid and postpaid services.

In addition, we have a strong focus on individual customer projects. All around the globe.

Our main area of activity is development, integration, and system testing for mobile network operators such as T-Mobile in Germany, Austria, Czechia, Croatia, Slovakia, the Netherlands and other countries, ERA in Poland, Airtel in Spain, Telkomsel and Indosat in Indonesia, Vodafone in MaltaWe also offer a broad range of supplementary services. We analyze requirements and submit proposals for solutions before a project starts. We manage projects from kick-off to acceptance testing, including the coordination among all the partners participating in a given project.

We prepare the required manuals and conduct training courses. We support customers during acceptance testing and service organizations in providing their services in an optimized manner.

Business intelligence

New market challenges call for more flexible organizations and workflows. Individual improvements have reached their limits, and IT systems are managing everyday operations in a satisfactory manner. Nevertheless, corporate value chains as a whole still leave a lot of room for improvement. Performance indicators for these processes provide information about their effectiveness and form the basis for strategic decisions, while business intelligence solutions from Siemens IT Solutions and Services create the necessary transparency.

Business intelligence - with its frequent synonyms "data warehouse" or "analytical applications" - comprises services and solutions that support these decision-making processes by collecting and processing data from internal and external sources. Strategic decisions can thus be prepared, finalized and supported on the basis of up-to-date, consistent and consolidated information.

Our business intelligence projects start with you as the decision-maker. We include you in the management cycle from the very start, determine what information you need, and design the appropriate models. Together with your IT management we select suitable system components, implement the solution and provide support during its startup and operation. Wherever possible we use ready-made solution components (best-practice solutions).

Our business intelligence solutions are based on data warehousing and data mining architectures and approaches.

Benefits :

-We support your project from start to finish (Consult - Design - Build - Operate).
-You are always part of the project: as a decision-maker at all milestones, as an advisor during the design of the individual user interface, as a fact-checker to make sure that the results are correct, and as the trailblazer during the solution’s implementation in your organization.
-Best-practice solutions, state-of-the-art tools and our iterative project approach help you to recognize and eliminate weakpoints and take advantage of potential improvements.
-We support you with our industry experience and our technical implementation skills. We can handle not only the solution’s technology, but its business aspects as well. As a multi-platform IT solution provider, we have implemented projects with all leading data warehouse and business intelligence providers, in particular with SAP BW and Informatica solutions.
-Our experienced team of consultants is always near at hand.

Advanced Planning Systems

Advanced Planning Systems (APS) are software systems that are used to solve planning problems in the area of supply chain management.
APS systems differ from transaction-oriented PPS or ERP systems because they use mathematical optimization models and current planning data to generate concrete plans. An attempt is made to observe all applicable constraints and thus to create reliable plans.
Solution components from Advanced Planning Systems:
-Network Design
-Demand Planning
-Supply Network Planning
-Vendor Managed Inventory
-Available/Capable to Promise
-Production Planning / Detailed Scheduling

Product Lifecycle Collaboration

Product Lifecycle Collaboration

We realize a tailored IT solution for you that will enable you to collaborate effi-ciently with your net-worked partners, suppliers and customers from product development right through to recycling or reuse. We follow international standards for data communication (inclu-ding the sharing of complex data), link workflows within and between the various companies involved, and implement the level of data security you require.

Product lifecycle management

Product lifecycle management

Product lifecycle management helps your company to integrate its regional units, partners, suppliers and customers into your product or service definition and development processes.

This, in turn, allows you to cut development and manufacturing costs, trim innovation cycles and enhance customer acceptance for your products – all of which leads, of course, to new sales markets and improved profits. Product lifecycle management extends the scope and technical framework of the traditional product data management approach to cover the entire product lifecycle. The support it provides for web-based cooperation between all of the business partners involved constitutes a particular strength.

ERP Consolidation and Harmonization

Enterprise Resource Planning Consolidation and Harmonization

Globalization goes hand in hand with change, and this leads in turn to a growing need to constantly rework and realign IT structures, processes and strategies. Multinational companies in particular are always on the lookout for ways of reducing the total cost of ownership (TCO) for their global IT landscape, and specifically for their ERP systems. The top priority is to eliminate those cost drivers created by heterogeneous IT landscapes, e.g. as a result of process interruptions, manual reworking or a large number of interfaces, as well as of additional support and maintenance outlay.

Typical challenges:

-Consolidation of the technical system landscape and reduction in the number of interfaces
-Global harmonization of the business processes and corporate master data
-Optimal resource utilization through introducing a Shared Services approach

Supply Chain Management

More value added through intelligent network management

In response to the pressure of global competition, many companies have drastically streamlined their processes all along the value chain. With regard to development and production, the optimization potential has been largely used up. This does not apply to logistics processes, however. The shallower the manufacturing depth, the broader and more closely meshed the network of suppliers and partners. Anyone adept in controlling this network intelligently and comprehensively will be able to pull all the right strings to be even faster, more flexible and more cost-efficient than the competition.

Having the right IT solution puts you in an ideal position to create more value added out of your supply chain, and with Siemens IT Solutions and Services you have an IT partner who will find this solution for you.

Customer Relationship Management(CRM)

CRM from Siemens IT Solutions and Services – ready for new challenges with Performance Management

When confronted with tough competition and growing customer demands, successful customer relationship management is a crucial advantage. For this reason, it is essential to keep a close watch on the "performance" of customer relationships at all times.

Processes must be checked with an eye to their optimization potential, assessed in accordance with standardization options and cost-cutting measures, and investigated in terms of their result orientation. This makes them more innovative, effective and cost-effective. With "CRM Performance Management" we offer you a platform to help you check CRM performance either selectively or en bloc.

Performance Management looks at the implementation of the CRM strategy by the customer-specific business processes not from the point of view of "proprietary" considerations, but with reference to "CRM balanced scorecards" and the possible degrees of maturity as per Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI).

Our CRM projects are designed to grow customer value over the long term. To do this efficiently, the strategic CRM goals must be optimally implemented and permanent performance controlling with CIPs must be set up. We meet this challenge with CRM Performance Management and our CRM performance triangle.

The CRM balanced scorecards focus your attention on all relevant features of customer relationships: finances, customers, processes and employees. This leads to a balanced and comprehensive overview, which in turn allows you to identify specific measures designed to bring customer relationship activities into line with the goals set out by company management.

This approach is rounded out by the incorporation of CMMI, which focuses on the assessment and improvement of process quality ("maturity") in organizations. This makes it possible to identify improvement options and order them as effectively as possible so that the processes can be improved and their goals achieved more efficiently. These improvements are described in terms of "capability levels", and analysis must show which levels have to be reached for which CRM measures in order to reach the prescribed targets.

As part of the Siemens group, Siemens IT Solutions and Services has considerable industry and process know-how and offers you comprehensive customer relationship management from a single source – from the first consulting session to implementation, right through to the operation of your solution.

Social Market Economy

The social market economy seeks a middle path between socialism and capitalism and aims at maintaining a balance between a high rate of ecomomic growth, low in flation, low levels of unemployment, good working conditions, social welfare, and public services, by using state intervension.
Basically respecting the free market, the social market economy is opposed to both a planned ecomomy and laissez-faire capitalism. Erhard once that the free market economy did not need to be made social but was social in its origin.
In a social market economy, collective bargainning is often done on a national level not between one corporation and one union, but national employers' organizations and national trade unions.
The Union shall work for the sustainable development of Europe based on balanced economic growth and price stability, a highly competitive social market economy, aiming at full employment and social progress, and a high level of protection and improvement of the quality of the environment.

Which economies are mixed?
There is not a consensus on which economies are capitalist, socialist, or mixed. It may be argued that the historical tendency of power holders in all times and places to limit the activities of market actors combined with the natural impossibility of monitoring and constraining all market actors has resulted in the fact that, as we understand a "mixed economy" being a combination of governmental enterprise and free-enterprise, nearly every economy to develop in human history meets this definition.
